Notes from meeting with DC on Friday 5/11/2010

Further idea development of how to promote the magazine and features on it


  • creating the name into an anagram
  • sound effects
  • placement of garments: think about animals (really likes the cow image on first page- is there a way of laying out clothing like this?)
  • look at how animals move- could be a watermark then the clothing laid out in the same way???
  • could the cow be a logo????

  • DISCLAIMER- (ask tiffany but i think it is a good idea) this will also show that i have thought about the legal points of view and will allow me to showcase brands etc on my magazine
  • links to the clothing websites

  • ipad research- use moms
  • animation- flicks/ anyways of viewing the garments - 360 rotations???? views of garments when you hover over it>!?!?!?
  • content development- animation of the clothing- maybe stop motion?
  • need to also draw together a conclusion of how it is going to be set up at the end as it is a "PROTOTYPE"> alsmost a proposal>an animated promo of the app - interactive element

  • Launch Strategy....   teasers/ countdown website
  • stylized webpage
  • each day something new on the site- photoshop images like tickets/number plates/bus numbers/ football team/sky news etc that show the numbers 626 almost like guerilla marketing( really like this idea)

  • capture everything with 626 on it!!!!!
  • google search the brand name so you know that nobody else has got it!!!!! proof- print screen etc. make sure that you are the only one utilising the brand name as a trading mark.
  • TRADEMARK symbol?!!!

PITCH....
  • could i treat the sage review as a pitch?!?!?! points to include....
  • SELL IT- DREAM/ LIFESTYLE!!!!!!!
-THE modern day man
-1950's man
-mY TARGET AUDIENCE- the perception of the man has changed to the point where he is as concious as a woman- compare this to the past.
-try to capture his lifestyle ANSWER HIS NEEDS!!!!- create a one stop destination for him- cater to his lifestyle!!!!

WHY....
-build structure of what to say- the industry is worth £20billion- use the slides from the marketing reserch dc sent me! therefore tehre is a need for menswear fashion/lifestyle...
-men only spas- ellemis mens treatments
- men are changing- fashion icons
-aspiring to the modern day man
-the power of the celebrity
-GQ etc.... the power of the media...
EVERYBODY HAS A HERO
-"Global denima value"- make a point "juts on a pair of jeans- fashion is key"
EVOLUTION ON MAN- in fashion!!!
-men are more inclined to go that way... 
SHOW YOUR PASSION-SELL IT-GET THE PITCH RIGHT!!!!!!!
-domesticated/ dad (this is what the audiences are/aspire to be etc....)
-make consumer profiles....
-TAKE THEM ON A JOURNEY!>enhance life through aspiration and inspiration
-porter laptop bag- proffessional

be self reflective- dont beat yourself up and focus on the good!!!!!!
DO the good things first and it will enhance your confidence, highlight what you arent too pleased about and say what you can do about it
Focus on what you havent done- ANIMATION/ IPAD RESEARCH/ CONTENT DEVELOPMENT etc......
show the structure and flow of how you are thinking
