Work experience - Day 7
Today has been a very busy day, but very successful too. Chose all my colours for each line and all my fabrics too, made all the line up boards and worked out prices, and all the pantones etc. Searching for fabrics was really good, they have sooo many different catalogues from all over the world filled with swatches. I mainly focused of suede and premium leathers for "Petra" as I've chosen shoes from the Club range so it's going to be much smarter than "Carrie" who I've chosen mainly canvas but also two leathers. I really like my colour choices and can't wait to put them onto the flats. I'm getting on really well here and will be really sad to leave! Everyone is really nice and the offices are awesome a really nice relaxed environment and everyone who works there takes such pride in Lacoste and in Pentland, I've noticed this in people from all the brands who work there too. It's so nice to work somewhere where people actually care about their job, I suppose it is because they are doing something that they actually want to do. And also they get looked after really well in Pentland, their opinions are always taken in and everyone is really helpful, I have had so much help and it's really made a difference, I came into work on Monday and Darren had found a magazine article on the fashion in Stockholm when he was at home over the weekend and had left it on my desk for me, things like that really make you feel welcome and looked after. Oh and the offices have a gym and are building an indoor swimming pool!
