Work experience - Day 1

I have got 2 weeks work experience at the Pentland Center in Finchley, working for Lacoste as part of their marketing team for shoes.
My brief for the two weeks is quite challenging, the title of my brief is "Lacoste and the Female Consumer... How do they fit?".
I have been given two fictional characters- "Carrie" a 20 year old college student from New Jersey who loves fashion, music and being active.
The second is "Petra" a 32 year old partner in a solicitors firm from Stockholm, who also loves fashion, travel and art.
This was the only information I have been given on these two, all day I have been researching and building up a profile for each character and then try and get into the minds of each character to allow the brand to connect with them.
Then I will work with the team and different people from different aspects of the marketing team to build up a collection of mood boards, fabric research, colour research and so on to get to my final outcome, which is creating a "line" of shoes where I will choose the fabrics, colours, textures and styles.
I'm off shopping in London tomorrow morning with the catagory manager to buy a competator sample that I think both my characters would purchase based on my profile I have created of them!
